{"id":72,"date":"2025-08-05T16:40:43","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T16:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marketing.sema.rs\/?page_id=72"},"modified":"2026-02-04T12:08:59","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T11:08:59","slug":"etika-publikovanja","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/marketing.sema.rs\/en\/etika-publikovanja\/","title":{"rendered":"Ethics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dealing with unethical behaviour<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any individual or institution may report to the editor and\/or Editorial Board any knowledge of violations of ethical standards and other irregularities at any time, providing credible information\/evidence to initiate an investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The procedure for verifying the presented evidence is carried out as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Editor-in-Chief makes the decision regarding the initiation of an investigation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During an investigation, any evidence should be treated as confidential and only made available to those strictly involved in the process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The accused will always be given the chance to respond to any charges made against them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If it is judged at the end of the investigation that misconduct has occurred, then it will be classified as either minor or serious.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minor misconduct (with no influence on the integrity of the paper and the journal, for example, when it comes to misunderstanding or wrong application of publishing standards) will be dealt directly with authors and reviewers without involving any other parties. Outcomes include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sending a warning letter to authors and\/or reviewers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Publishing correction of a paper, e.g. when sources properly quoted in the text are omitted from the reference list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Publishing an erratum, e.g. if the error was made by editorial staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the case of major misconduct the Editor-in-Chief\/Editorial Board may adopt different measures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Publication of a formal announcement or editorial describing the misconduct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Informing officially the author's\/reviewer's affiliating institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The formal, announced retraction of publications from the journal in accordance with retraction policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A ban on submissions from an individual for a defined period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Referring a case to a professional organization or legal authority for further investigation and action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In resolving ethically contentious issues, the Editorial Board adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Plagiarism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Marketing does not publish plagiarized papers. The Editorial Board maintains that plagiarism, defined as the appropriation of others' ideas, words, or other forms of creative contribution and their presentation as one's own, constitutes a serious violation of scientific and publishing ethics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Plagiarism includes the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>doslovno (re\u010d po re\u010d) ili gotovo doslovno preuzimanje ili smi\u0161ljeno, radi prikrivanja izvora, parafraziranje delova tekstova drugih autora bez jasnog nazna\u010davanja izvora\u00a0;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copying equations, figures or tables from someone else's paper without properly citing the source and\/or without permission from the original author or the copyright holder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manuscripts found to have clear indications of plagiarism will be automatically rejected. If plagiarism is discovered in a published paper, that paper will be retracted. In cases of violations of publisher rights, copyright holders, or the authors themselves, including the publication of the same paper in multiple journals, false authorship, plagiarism, data manipulation for deceit, or any other misuse, the published paper must be retracted. A paper can also be retracted to correct serious and numerous errors that cannot be adequately addressed by publishing a correction. Retraction can be initiated by the editor, the authors, or through mutual agreement between both parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To prevent plagiarism in the journal, manuscripts are subjected to checks using the iThenticate\/CrossRef system as part of the SCIindex Assistant service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To prevent the misuse of published papers, authors are required to submit an <a href=\"https:\/\/marketing.sema.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/authors-declaration-of-originality.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Izjavu autora o originalnosti rada. <\/a>to the Marketing. In this statement, authors confirm that their paper is original and does not contain any parts of text that have been previously published, nor does it violate anyone's ownership or copyright rights. The authors assume responsibility for the conducted study, data analysis, and the conclusions presented. In the statement, authors also confirm that they have cited all references used in the text and reference list and that they have obtained written permission from copyright holders if they have used substantial parts of other authors' texts. Finally, in the statement, the authors declare that the paper has not been published nor will it be submitted for publication to other journals while it is under evaluation by the Editorial Board and reviewers of the Marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Copyright and Licensing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authors retain copyright of the published papers and grant to the publisher the non-exclusive right to publish the article, to be cited as its original publisher in case of reuse, and to distribute it in all forms and media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authors are permitted to deposit author\u2019s publisher's version (PDF) of their work in an institutional repository, subject-based repository, author's personal website (including social networking sites, such as ResearchGate, Academia.edu, etc.), and\/or departmental website at any time after publication. Full bibliographic information (authors, article title, journal title, volume, issue, pages) about the original publication must be provided and links must be made to the article's DOI and the license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Disclaimer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The views expressed in published papers do not represent the views of the editor and the Editorial Board of the journal. Authors assume legal and moral responsibility for the ideas presented in their papers.
